I was looking up “muscular back” the other day (don’t ask), and I stumbled onto this hot piece of beefcake. His name is Clay Matthews and I get the vague sense that he plays football. Just guessing here.
So, grab a football and go long. This guy looks like he’s ready to tackle something and it might as well be you! *snicker*
I’m late, I know. I’m sorry. I got the final edits in for Siren, which means I’ll hopefully have a release date to announce soon. Can’t wait! But we both know that’s not why you’re here. It’s Man Candy…er, Wednesday!
This is Joe. In his spare time, he’s a werewolf on the show True Blood. He’s just gotten out of a really painful relationship, and I thought you might be willing to comfort him. :c)
Careful though. He bites.
The first piece of good news for the day is…its FRIDAY! Thank. God. This week has just crawled by. I’m looking forward to the weekend and my local RWA chapter meeting, which is on Sunday. I always come home exhausted, but inspired and ready to write. I’m hoping to get a lot of work done on the book this weekend, so wish me luck.
As one of my favorite authors, Anne Stuart, often says, “Nothing but good times ahead!”
I’ll tell you something if you promise not to tell my cp, Brenna Aubrey. I don’t think she’d approve, so my confession can’t leave this blog.
Last night, when I should’ve been writing….I read Lair of the Lion by Christine Feehan instead. I realize that doesn’t sound terrible, but I’m on a strict 1,000 words a day (at least) schedule, and I can’t afford to lose any words, let alone a thousand of them. I really need to get this book done quickly. But when I sat down to write last night, I discovered my creative well was bone-dry. I couldn’t conjure up the energy to write for anything. So I did the next best thing. I read.
I only intended to read for a little while, fill-up the creative well, then get on with the writing. But Lair of the Lion swept me up and before I knew it, it was long past time to go to bed. Whoops. It had all the elements of a gripping romance—strong characters, mystery, action, and sizzling sex scenes.
I’m too lazy to summarize, so here is the blurb:
The Beast . . .
Rumor said the powerful Nicolai DeMarco could command the heavens, that the beasts below did his bidding . . . and that he was doomed to destroy the woman he took as wife. It was whispered he was not wholly human—as untamed as his tawny mane and slashing amber eyes.
Impoverished aristocrat Isabella Vernaducci would defy death itself to rescue her imprisoned brother. She’d even brave the haunted, accursed lair of the lion—the menacing palace of legendary, lethal Don Nicolai DeMarco.
Anyway, if you’re looking for something captivating to read, then pick it up. It was totally worth the 1,000 words I lost last night.
Good news! I’ve received a contract for my fantasy novella, Surrender to the Siren Prince, from the Wild Rose Press. This is my very first contract and I’m so excited! No release date yet, but below is the cover. Check out my books page to read the synopsis and first chapter!
Isn’t he pretty?
I’m baaaack! Things have been quiet on the blog, but behind the scenes I’ve been working hard. Thanks for being patient. And because you were so good while I was away, I brought you a little treat. Okay, it’s actually not so little. It’s a tall, delicious, German-Irish treat named Michael Fassbender.
He wants to show you something. And you want to see it. Trust me.
